Consider your subject, audience, resources and whether learners will work together or individually. The right combination depends on how the space will be used.
Make the first steps clear
Explain the controls, what will happen and how to stop. Give people time to become comfortable in a safe, supportive setting before beginning the activity.
Plan manageable sessions
Break the experience into focused activities. Anticipate the choices learners may make and leave space for questions, discussion and reflection.
Keep the learner at the centre
Adapt the experience to participants’ needs, confidence and familiarity with technology. Combine immersive activities with other teaching methods and plan the support and content needed over time.
