Gener8 Spaces Ltd

Privacy and cookies

Our chat helps you speak to the Gener8 team about your space. It works even if you decline visitor assistance.

Who is responsible

Gener8 Spaces Ltd is responsible for the personal information collected through this website. For privacy questions or requests, email hello@g8spaces.com or write to Suite 4L, Ribble Court, Shuttleworth Mead Business Park, Padiham, Burnley, BB12 7NG.

Website enquiries

Our demo, contact and distributor forms collect the details you provide, such as your name, organisation, email, phone number, sector, preferred date and message. We use these to answer your enquiry, arrange a demonstration or discuss working together. Required fields are marked on each form. Submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing.

Form submissions are stored in our Supabase database and reviewed by authorised Gener8 staff in our website administration panel. Vercel hosts the website and processes the request. The form also sends the page address and submission timing to help us understand your enquiry and prevent spam. Please do not include patient records or other sensitive personal information.

We use enquiry information for our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries, or to take steps at your request before entering a contract where applicable. We keep correspondence for as long as needed to handle the enquiry, any resulting customer relationship and applicable legal obligations. The chat deletion period below does not apply to email correspondence or separately saved sales enquiries.

Optional visitor assistance

If you allow it, the team can see the pages you visit on this website, when you were last active and up to 25 recent page visits. They can offer help through chat. We do not record your screen, keystrokes or form entries.

Conversations and contact details

When you start a chat, we store your messages and a random session identifier. Your name, email and town are optional. Only authorised Gener8 website staff can access the inbox. We use our existing Supabase service to store this information. Private team notes may be used to handle your enquiry. If you provide a phone number, organisation or project details during the conversation, our team can record these to help with your enquiry. If you request follow-up, the team can save a separate sales enquiry record containing your contact details and project summary; this does not subscribe you to marketing.

Location is optional

If you allow visitor assistance, we use Vercel’s approximate network location (city, region, country and coordinates where available) to place a labelled pin on our team’s visitor map. This can reflect your internet provider or VPN and may be far from you. We do not store the readable IP address or claim this is your exact location. You can type your town or explicitly share device location. Device sharing prompts your browser for permission, and the team sees its reported accuracy. The chat does not continuously follow your location.

Storage and retention

Your tracking choice is remembered in this browser. A conversation token is stored for the browser tab session. Conversations and associated location/activity data are removed after 30 days without activity; cleanup runs when the chat service next receives a request. You can delete your current conversation from the chat details panel. A separately captured sales enquiry is retained for follow-up and is not removed by deleting the chat. Contact Gener8 if you would like that enquiry record removed. Chat request limits use a server-keyed IP hash. The enquiry endpoint uses a one-way IP hash held temporarily in server memory for rate limiting. These application controls do not store a readable IP address; hosting providers may process network information to operate and secure their services.

Privacy and cookie choices

The Privacy & cookie choices button is available on every main page. Essential first-party storage remembers your privacy choices and keeps a chat session working when you start one. Visitor assistance and device location are separate optional choices, switched off until you agree. You can reject optional processing and still use the website and chat. We remember your choices for up to six months, and store their version and timestamp with any visitor session.

Choosing device location asks your browser for permission and shares one reading for that visit, including its reported accuracy. It does not continuously track you. Refusing browser permission sends no device position. Withdrawing visitor assistance stops page tracking and removes saved page history and network location; withdrawing device-location consent removes the saved device position. Chat messages remain until deletion or the retention period ends.

Video players load when you explicitly open or play a film. Those players are provided by YouTube or Vimeo and may process information needed to deliver the requested film.

Your rights and questions

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access or correct your information, request deletion or restriction, object to processing, or request a portable copy. Where we rely on consent for optional visitor assistance or location, you can withdraw it using the privacy controls. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out.

Contact us using the details above to make a request. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
